Dear parents/carers
Re: Year 7 parents’ welcome coffee evenings
We are delighted to welcome you and your child to Outwood Grange Academy and would like to invite you to join us for an informal parents’ evening to celebrate the beginning of their journey with us.
Here at Outwood Grange Academy, we pride ourselves in preparing young people not just for their academic, but also for their professional, social and emotional futures; this will require a strong partnership between teachers and parents. It is in this spirit that we invite you to this event.
On the allocated date, identified by your child's Vertical Mentor Group (VMG) code, please join us for refreshments from 7.00pm and a talk led by the Principal or a Vice Principal who will discuss Outwood Grange Academy’s policies and procedures and answer any generic questions about the school. Please note, as this is a talk aimed at many parents, it will not necessarily be possible to discuss individual concerns but rather focus on the methods to help your child settle in further and what you can expect from us during your child’s time with us. Whilst the talk is aimed solely at parents, we appreciate that you may need to bring younger children with you and we will endeavour to accommodate them for the hour long talk.
Below are the dates for which your child's event has been allocated. If you able to attend, please respond using the reply slip by the Monday of each week; these should be taken to the SID office. On the evening of your allocated event, please meet in the Academy’s reception area where you will be greeted by member of the leadership team and directed to the appropriate venue.
