Teaching School: Introduction
Outwood Grange Academy is proud to be recognised as a National Teaching School (NTS).
Teaching Schools are centres of excellence for the training and development of the team around the child: teachers, learning support assistants, administrative staff, maintenance staff – anybody who works in an educational environment.
In the recently published White Paper, "Your child, your schools, our future: building a 21st century schools system", proposals for strengthening collaboration between schools are discussed and Teaching Schools are a vital part of this collaborative cluster work. The Outwood Grange Teaching School is committed to providing training programmes that are personalised, relevant and have a clear positive impact upon our students, both in our Academy and in other schools. We use expert practitioners to lead our areas of training at all levels. Our trainers are highly praised delegates from our institution and other centres, both locally and from further afield.
Outwood Grange Teaching School offers numerous training programmes for the wider workforce. We can design and offer comprehensive programmes of training which are tailored to suit your specific requirements based on accurate identification of professional learning needs.
