Specialisms in Technology, the Arts, Leadership and Internationalism

The Academy key specialisms are Leadership, Internationalism, The Arts and Technology.  Technology has been a strength of the college and continues to play a large role in raising standards across the Academy. This core area, covering Maths, Science and Technology, continues to attract high quality teachers and are central to our work both within the Academy and in supporting other schools. The subject knowledge and skills developed in these areas are essential to enable our students to function in the 21st Century world of work. 

The Arts offers students an opportunity to immerse themselves in the creative and aesthetic aspects of the curriculum. Students are able to both specialise and immerse themselves in academic and vocational courses, alongside enrichment activities. This area in particular lends itself to greater community participation and is a natural link to our local primary schools, especially within sports and sports leadership.

The Academy has international school links in many countries across the world.
