Teaching School: NQT

Your NQT year is one of the most important points of your career.  At Outwood Grange Academy, we guarantee to provide our Newly Qualified Teachers with a comprehensive training and support programme.

As an NQT, you will receive a reduced timetable and a weekly mentor meeting with your Subject Mentor.  The Teaching School have devised an extensive Professional Studies programme, which includes training in areas such as Behaviour Management, Intervention for Impact and Being a Research Engaged Teacher.  You will be supported through your Master Level Credits, if you wish to gain these, and the NQT Coordinator will provide additional support and advice throughout the year.  You will also have the opportunity to network with NQTs who work within the Outwood Family of Schools.
