Learning Environment

Outwood Grange Academy is one of the largest comprehensives in the country and consequently has a vast suite of facilities and equipment for students to use.  The different buildings offer students the opportunity to access different learning spaces with a dedicated focus.

There are specialist facilities for all subjects including a purpose built science block, a custom music technology suite with recording studio, conference theatre & Academy hall (with auditorium style seating),  drama studios, art gallery and devoted artist spaces, design and technology wing, business technology rooms and a training school which supports staff development with its dedicated lecture rooms.  Each classroom has its own interactive whiteboard and there are many IT rooms available across the campus.  In total, there are 900 computers for staff and students to access the curriculum.

Our Healthy School status is supported with a brand new restaurant, The Beech Restaurant, which has 5 themed serving areas.  Our excellent sports reputation is reinforced by the sporting facilities including: the new Academy sports pavilion, fitness suite, dance studio, sports hall, gymnasium, floodlit Astroturf pitch and large open sports fields.

Outwood Grange Academy seeks to provide the best experience for all its stakeholders, and is developing its facilities with that in mind. Students have their own student information desk (SID) and health clinic to support them on a day to day basis.
