The following pieces of work can be completed by students who study Chemistry while the Academy is closed due to the bad weather.

See the information or click on the links below that apply to you.

Year 9 CORE CHEMISTRY

Use notes, workbooks, revision guides and BBC bitesize (www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/science/aqa/rocks/) to revise for a test on \'Atoms and atomic structure\' and \'Limestone\'

Classes:
9X-SC1 - (NML)
9X-SC2 - (RIM)
9X-SC3 - (NML)
9Y-SC1 - (RIM)
9Y-SC2 - (CMR)

Year 10

Read notes and complete all questions in C2 workbook on atomic structure and bonding, and chemical calculations .
Use  BBC bitesize (www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/science/add_aqa/) to revise and test yourself on atomic structure and bonding, and chemical calculations.

Classes:
10A-CH1 - (LJS)
10A-CH2 - (LAB)
10B-CH1 - (NML)
10B-CH2 - (CMR)

Year 11 - revise for test on water and solubility.

I\'ve attached some practice questions for year 11 chemists to work through and the mark scheme. They don\'t have an exam in January.

Classes and teachers are:

11X-CH1 - (CMR)
11X-CH2 - (LJS)
11X-CH3 - (RIM)
11Y-CH1 - (CMR)
11Y-CH2 - (RIM)

Year 12 read and make notes on hydrogen bonding and revise for test on periodicity.
Answer questions on bonding.

C3 Question

C3 Marking Scheme

Year 13 - read and make notes on NMR spectroscopy and organic synthesis. Practice Unit 4 past paper questions from AQA website.
